911 call receiver dialogue- Listening task
This is a sample dialogue between a 911 call-receiver and an individual who witnessed an accident. I used this recording as a listening task to help students listen to specific details; as well as a way for students to understand some of the questions that may be asked and how to respond to them.

Doctor-patient dialogue-2nd audio
This SECOND audio recording provides students with an opportunity to hear doctor-patient conversations. (I've put the first one up for free!) It also is an opportunity to discuss imperative sentences like "Take this twice daily." I taught my students about adverbs of frequency and expressions of frequency. This activity was created to assess students as to whether they could understand a doctor's instructions for how to take medication. Each dialogue presents 3 to 4 different instructions and students are expected to check mark the instructions they hear and write down the form of medication that was provided to the patient (e.g. capsules, tablets, liquid, syrup, etc.)
Another task that can be done with this activity is for students to write down which instruction they heard
