Autumn literature circles for Microsoft Word
Circle Time Falling Leaves Dramatic Play
In circle time, to enhance an understanding of the changing seasons, the teacher can play nature sounds of wind blowing. Allow the children to recite a poem about leaves falling, as they pretend to be leaves, blowing in the fall wind. Later, when outside, the teacher(s) can bring attention to leaves falling from trees. This can be followed up with an art project, illustrating leaves falling from trees to the ground.
