Soup Salad or Sandwich - Get to Know You/Ice Breaker Activity
This icebreaker (23 slides, including intro and discussion questions at the end) can be used for upper elementary/middle/high school (preferably middle and high school). It follows the game "Soup/Salad/Sandwich" in which you ask the students to categorize different foods into only those three categories. The game allows for large class-wide discussion, as well as a "think-pair-share" method. Discussion questions at the end are more designed for elementary or middle school students.

This is 5 days of independent work for secondary students. Each slide has a link within the title. Each slide should take about 20-30 minutes, but it will differ with each student. The students can do some exploring and learning on their own and then have meaningful discussions later.
