TEACHING EXPERIENCE

As a former intern and assistant teacher at a non-profit art space, I gained valuable experience in creating and implementing art summer camps for students of all ages. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Fine Art, I transitioned into a teaching career, where I became a 6th-12th grade teacher at a Charter School. During this time, I honed my skills in creating engaging lesson plans and fostering a positive classroom environment. As a certified yoga teacher, with specializations in teen yoga and meditation, I have integrated mindfulness practices into my teaching. I have also had the opportunity to run my own business visiting schools and facilitating mindfulness sessions and hosting yoga and mindfulness events for middle school students with an artistic flair. My unique background in both art education and mindfulness practices has allowed me to bring a creative and holistic approach to my teaching. I am dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students, and I am passionate about sharing my experiences and knowledge with other educators.

MY TEACHING STYLE

As an experienced teacher and certified yoga instructor, I bring a unique approach to education that combines mindfulness and creativity. With a background in fine art and years of teaching experience, I've learned to foster an environment that empowers students to explore and express themselves while cultivating a sense of inner calm and focus. My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and adaptive to different learning abilities, ensuring that each student feels supported and challenged to grow. By incorporating mindfulness and yoga into my lesson plans, I'm able to help students develop skills beyond academics, including stress management, self-awareness, and resilience. I believe that education is not just about transmitting knowledge, but also about fostering a sense of community, self-discovery, and joy in learning.
