TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello! I'm Nicole and I have enjoyed educating kids from pre-k through 8th grade as a public-school teacher for 5 years, a private school teacher for 1 year and as a homeschool teacher for families for 3 years. I have learned so much from these experiences, and love creating curriculum and classroom content. I currently specialize in middle school ELAR and GT. My certification is Core 4-8, and ESL in the state of Texas.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My style centers heavily on the establishment of my classroom's culture. I believe in creating a space that students and teachers can enjoy being in both physically and mentally. With that in place, I love challenging students with higher order thinking questions, encouraging peer teaching, and offering creative project options, especially for writing.
