TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently an 10th and 11th grade English teacher. I also taught 6th and 8th grade language arts. Before moving into my public school teaching career, I worked for approximately eight years as a adjunct professor at the university level, which I feel gives me a unique insight into the most critical skills students will need as they advance in their academic careers.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a very hands-on teacher who believes in discussion, revision, and clear focus points for students to work on. I also think that writing assignments should be engaging as possible, addressing student concerns and interests. At all times, I try to find ways to engage the opinions and imaginations of my young writers.
