TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching for seven years in my own classroom, and I subbed full time while working on my master's degree the year before beginning my career. I currently teach the following subjects: - 9th grade English - 21st Century Communication - Photojournalism - 21st Century Journalism - Student Publications

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have a discussion-based style of teaching that encourages students to ask any and all questions, even if it means the course of the lesson changes. I believe my role as an educator is to create an environment in which students can experiment with a variety of skills and contents in a safe environment. I firmly believe that we no longer live in a world where memorization is necessary, but where communications, collaboration and respect are necessary every single day.
