I have worked in adult education in industry and the public sector (university). Due to the lack of language education at primary school level I started my own language school for German after attending courses (Goethe-Institut, Centre for Childhood Multilingualism, Munich) on teaching pre- and primary school children. I now help children aged 3 - 12 learn German as a foreign or second language.
I believe teaching languages to children has to be activity-based learning and this is reflected in how children learn German with me through songs, games, arts and crafts and physical exercise. I also like to foster a 'can-do-attitude' and problem-solving.

I was born in Germany and now live in Ireland with my family. Languages play an important role in our family as we raise our children with German and English and I am always looking for opportunities to develop my children's minority language (German).
