TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 33 years. I am currently a Reading Coach in an online school called (CASC). I have previously taught ELA and science. Prior to that I was a Gifted Coordinator for a digital school called The Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT) and worked also with the special education department. I have taught science, English Language Arts, art history, and social studies.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a highly motivated and animated character in the classroom. I love to make kids laugh while learning content and have been known to write songs and raps to learn things that would be otherwise monotonous.

I earned my National Board Teacher Certification AYA/ELA in November 2008 and won Teacher of the Year at my school for the 08-09 school year. I renewed my National Board Teacher Certfication AYA/ELA in October 2018.
