TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught preschool for 5 years, 1st Grade for 11 years, and am now teaching 2nd Grade. I have tutored K-10th grade for over 15 years as well.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love the workshop approach to reading and writing. I blend this style into my math lessons as well and enjoy trying new things in my classroom. I love activities that allow kids to make discoveries and to celebrate their little successes along the way.

I received my AA from Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA. I went on to earn my BA at Cal State University, Monterey Bay. I then achieved my teaching credential and MA in Education with a minor in Human Development in 2005. I’m also a Certified Mindfulness Instructor.
