TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began my career teaching Kindergarten in a private play based setting. My students learned through exploration and discovery. I then moved on to intern in rich, engaging 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms at The Park School in Brookline, Massachusetts, an independent day school. I have 3 years of experience teaching fifth grade in a rural public school and am now teaching 2nd grade in New Hampshire.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I aim to help my students find joy in learning. We speak daily of the ways we can "push our comfort zones"and open our minds for new opportunities. I give my students concrete experiences before moving them to abstract application. I help them connect their learning to their real lives. This helps them see how their work will help them grow to be more successful citizens of the world.
