ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Let's get musical together!!!! I believe that music can shape the personality. The aim of my music lessons is to produce an individual with a strong, positive, attractive character. Healthy self-esteem originates in the environment found in the family, peer group and so on. There are great benefits for children when they work together. Music Education is about helping children lead richer and fuller lives. Music has a secret power to reach deep into your emotions. At our school we try to give children every opportunity to be on the stage! The importance of increasing opportunities to perform individually or in groups improves student’s self-esteem and helps them discover themselves. It is not music education we need to promote in school settings but musical education. I believe that quality music education is that its importance lies in the centre of one’s heart and performance. The musical learning is more than accuracy of tempo or notation reading or anything to do with musical theories. The notes on a score is not music, it does not make a sound unless you pick it up and throw it. Then it can be quite percussive and now, that is very musical. The coming decades will show a growing increase in the role that technology plays in education and global society. We as teachers require skills in interaction, recording, collecting information from students and parents and creating and adapting materials using various technologies, so that our teaching becomes an aid to the full realization of the child’s potential as a human being. Taking advantage of the contemporary movement of technologies and a wide range of technological availability, I will continue to grow interest in this world of sound and musical expression.
