I began my teaching career in 3rd grade. After that first year, I was moved to 1st grade. It was the best move. I have enjoyed every moment!
I hold high expectations for my students and hold them accountable to do more than they ever thought they could. The look on their faces and the pride they have as they master difficult content is what I live for. Teaching children that they can do hard things is so important.
My most shining moment so far was when Commissioner Schwinn and her team visited my classroom!
