MY TEACHING STYLE

Outside of priority standards, my kids spend the majority of their time with hands on learning, social and emotional exercises with their classmates, and learning real-world skills. They can do work in different areas in the classroom. They are encouraged to work through issues themselves, and hold the bulk of the responsibility in the classroom. They work in groups to improve their social skills as well as their social emotional skills.

I graduated from Ohio State with a Bachelors in Social Work and Psychology. I taught for two years before going on to get my Masters in Elementary Education at Emporia State. I am now in my third year at a Title 1, primarily Spanish speaking school in Kansas City.
