Over 10 years in education. My focus has been on researching best practices to teach struggling writers in 11th and 12th grade how to write for college. The assignments are intended to use all English Skills: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.
I specialize in teaching struggling writers how to write. I spend quite a bit of time preparing students to use reading strategies and in-depth discussion questions through a version of the UBD unit writing method.

I am a former Marine and don't like to waste time. Each lesson I create has focus and a strategy that students can learn to replicate on their own. I teach strategies and not just mindless worksheets. I'd love to know if you like these lessons as I am able to create more of these for you to use.
