TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Canadian Teacher, and I have been teaching for over 15 years and learning new things each and everyday …lol... Just when you think you have it down pat ... Life Happens Jesus opens new doors. I have taught for over 6 years in Northern Quebec working with ESL students with grades ranging from K-6. Currently, I am teaching in a Catholic School System in Ontario as a Catholic Teacher working full time. I have taught Kindergarten, G1 virtually, Grades 2-5; special education classes.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am an enthusiastic and passionate teacher who is willing to go the extra mile for my students to succeed. I love creating & rocking themes in my classroom. My teaching philosophy is as long as my students are working they can sit anywhere in the classroom and select flexible seating that makes them feel comfortable & productive. I offer flexible groups, structured routines, a love of learning, strategies (academic, social-emotional), and religion (curriculum - a way of life). I am sure I do more just can’t think right now…lol… Do you have those days, well I get them all the time as I am getting older :)

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

When I get through to students who are having a hard time in academics or behaviour. You know what I mean it is the "AHA moment" or when they say, "Remember when you said this it is like this"...lol... yup:)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Ottawa University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Education. I have been taking AQ courses every year since I graduated (professional development). I just can't get enough of school...lol... whether I am the teacher or student.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have 2 crazy Siberian Huskies which I love to bits and they keep me busy. I help out in my community through my church and supporting new Catholic Christians.
