TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I did my student teaching, and long-term substituted, for 5th grade in a Title I school. I am currently working as a Teacher's Assistant in a private Christian school in Pasadena, California. I assist in building lesson planning and curriculum, as well as provide independent instruction for grades pre-k-4th.

MY TEACHING STYLE

During my student teaching I was trained with the Whole Brain Teaching method. My goal is that my materials and lessons will appeal to a diverse set of learners and giftings, and therefore, help students to learn to the best of their ability in a supportive environment. I believe in an interactive classroom tailored to students' interests.I also believe in involving students in the teaching process, and encouraging them to take authority of their learning!

Just for fun: I enjoy traveling, hiking, and adventuring in my free time! I love reading and classic literature, as well as good movies and music.
