I have taught special education in grades K-12 for the past 12 years. Earlier in my career, I taught in Wake County, NC and at a Public Charter in Hartford, CT. I am now in a small town in Connecticut teaching special education life skills to students in grades 9-12(and some 18+ transition students, too!) who have intellectual disabilities. I spend my summers teaching Life Skills to students in grades 5-12.
I use hands on, concrete methods with my students. I love using visuals.
