We started our Facebook & Instagram account around November 2019, a few weeks after we started our homeschooling journey. It’s our first year of homeschooling and still trying to adjust everything so I made a lot of research, lesson plans, and wrote long term visions about our chosen path. I‘ve been praying to homeschool years ago so I wanted to make every step memorable that will remind us our journey of learning together as a family. These things help me to push myself to continue homeschooling whenever I get discouraged during hard days and do projects that will benefit not only my kids but all fellow teachers, parents especially our homeschooling community. I personally follow the classical way of teaching my kids, and I believe each of those subjects includes art. I believe that Art is not only drawing, crafting, sketching or painting. Art is everywhere around us. I wanted to quote Ms Edith Schaeffer from her book ‘The Hidden Art of homemaking’ that inspired me the most in creating the page and later on the shop where I sell digital and physical (on Shopee) materials I made. From this perspective, we can teach kids the study of Natural Science, Music, Language, Homemaking (ex. cooking, gardening, carpentry), History, or even Math as a form of art and I guess that will encourage them and stir interest to love learning and appreciate life as a whole. I want my kids to explore what they like and help to prepare for whatever they choose as a career. Their foundational years matters and I want to grab that opportunity to be there for them as they build themselves to be the person they could be in the future according to God’s plan for their lives.
