TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I graduated college in 2008. Since then, I have fulfilled a variety of roles in my school district including: building sub, In-School Suspension teacher, 8th grade Language Arts teacher,and high school English teacher. Over these last 6 years I have seen a variety of classrooms, teaching styles, and individual students. My materials speak to the variety of experiences I have encountered.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Since I work with teenagers, I try to keep my lessons segmented. I figured I only have their attention for so long, so I need to make sure I get my information to them as quickly and as easily as possible. Then I follow up my information with activities and practice. I try to keep things light, and I really try to appeal to their interests.
