Gillian is an educator with 16 years experience in the classroom. She has taught in her native Scotland and the UAE, and has held various roles. She currently works as an Additional Support for Learning Teacher in Aberdeenshire; supporting students, colleagues and parents understand and embrace neurodiversity in the classroom. The Support Shed was born out of need for resources to support an ever changing educational landscape in Scotland, where inclusion is at the core of what practitioners do to ensure they Get It Right For Every Child. Main interests in education: neurodiversity, study skills, early literacy and numeracy skills, memory skills, dyslexia, dyscalculia, growth mindset, helping children see their strengths and advocate for themselves.
