Helping people of all ages to understand the world around them and the effects of their actions upon it was how I began my Environmental Education career. This also included teaching a graduate class at a local college and writing science curriculum. Wishing to have a longer-lasting impact, I moved to the classroom and spent 15 years teaching fourth grade, and loving every minute of it, including running our after-school Bird Club. I love seeing a sense of curiosity and wonder in every age group.
Math and Science should be alive and hands-on. It takes a lot of effort to create and offer this day after day, but the end result is so worth it. My students have heard many times that everyone can learn math and science that's broken down into understandable parts, and that 's the fun of my job! Join us in The Science Nest, where creative ideas grow!

My husband and I have two children who work hard each day to improve the lives of others and a loyal pup who keeps me company while I'm creating. God is good.
