I have worked with students with special needs (behavioral and academic) since 2005. I have experience as a self-contained teacher in grades K-6, 6-9, and 9-12. I‘ve also supported general and special education classroom teachers by providing them with both training and tools to help them manage significant behavioral difficulties. I did this first as the lead of my school’s RTI committee, and later as a behavior specialist.
Being a responsive educator means being able to look at the strengths and needs of our students and adjusting what we are doing to grow their skills, whether those are academic or behavioral.

Teachers have way too much on their plates and many are burning the candle at both ends trying to give their students everything that they need. I am passionate about supporting teachers with tools that help them meet complex student social and emotional needs without sacrificing their work/life balance.
