TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been practicing in the fields of Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Elementary and Post Secondary Education for over 25 years. Sharing my wealth of expertise and resources with colleagues, as well as participating in professional growth opportunities are common practices in my professional life as a teacher. Consistently creating and employing new ideas that I learn, serve to promote and motivate the learning process for students in my classroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

The activity play-based, content focused, learning model that I have honed over my career, incorporates all of the Essential Classroom Practices into daily routines. This has proven to be extremely successful in achieving class averages in numeracy and literacy, in which 80% of my students consistently meet or exceed the provincial standards. It is my belief that this is realized through a learning environment in which each of the Essential Classroom Practices are included and regularly utilized in classroom practices.
