The Kennedy Korral

My experience spans nearly 25 years of teaching K-8th grade. I've taught in public school, private school, homeschool, and internationally as an English teacher in China. I also have been a headmaster for a PreK-12th grade private school.

My teaching philosophy is to assist children in becoming the best, most responsible person they can be academically, physically, socially, and spiritually. I believe that God has created each of us with a unique purpose. I view my role as one partnering with parents to help guide and motivate their child toward that end.

I was honored to receive the Outstanding English Teacher Award from Yuncol English Camp, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. I am a recipient of the PRAXIS Excellence Award for the Principles of Learning and Teaching National Exam (PLT) which ranks me nationally in the top 15% of teachers that have taken this test to date. I am also named in Who's Who of Professional Educators. I have received many awards for my blog - The Kennedy Korral Blog.

Children are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. I believe that children are a one-of-a-kind creation; therefore, each child has a different capacity and preference for learning. My goal is to provide instruction to meet those learning differences. I accomplish this through a variety of learning opportunities. I believe that failure is not an option and will do what it takes to make children successful, responsible, and productive students and citizens.
