TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching high school in New Jersey for twelve years. I currently teach Modern World History, AP Psychology, and Holocaust Studies. I have had the privilege of starting, and therefore getting to design, our psychology classes at the high school. I have also taught SUPA Human Behavior, Introduction to Psychology, USI, USII, Sociology, and Contemporary Issues.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm very energetic in the classroom and can often be found standing on chairs or tables with animated gestures to make sure everyone is into a lesson. I like to make my classes as interactive as possible, I don't use history textbooks (they are a supplement in AP), and am always asking my students the why of history and psychology.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received both my bachelor's in Education and History and my MA in Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology from Boston College.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a huge Winston Churchill and Sigmund Freud fan - super strange combination, but it keeps my students amused. You can follow my class on Instagram @room22adventures and on Twitter @MsHistoryGeek
