TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching since 2001. My classroom experience includes Kindergarten through 5th grade. I am currently working as a 5th grade teacher, focusing on Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Social Studies. I've also worked for over a decade as RtI Facilitator and 504 Coordinator, focusing on helping teachers and parents develop appropriate Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions. I also work with families and teachers to develop appropriate classroom accommodations

MY TEACHING STYLE

There are two rules in our classroom: 1. Be kind. 2. Work hard. In the words of my friend Rafe, "If I expect my students to follow these rules, I need to be the kindest and hardest working person they know." I strive every day to make sure our room is full of kind, hard-working people. :)
