TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Ten years in British Columbia's public school system teaching English (10, 11, 11 Honours, 12, and Creative Writing).

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in having open and candid conversations with my students. I am here to help them grow and push themselves out of their comfort zones. In my classes students work hard knowing they will be better for it in the long run.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm Chancy a high school teacher in my tenth year in the public school system. It has been a crazy journey! From the excitement of my practicum, to the burnout of no notice temporary contracts, to settling into my permanent school (and classroom), to a complete curriculum revision, and then to the whirlwind that was COVID and virtual learning teaching has proven to be a dizzying career choice. That being said, through all the highs and lows that teaching has brought me, one thing has remained the same. I love connecting with my students (aka my kids), and I love making resources that are easy to use, engaging to look at, and valuable to my students' growth. That is why I decided to start putting my own resources on this site in the hopes that it can help another busy teachers have more time for all the other important things in life.
