TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught Film, Literature, and Writing at the college level for five years, earning tenure in my third year. During that time, as part of a "faculty abroad" program, I taught English to doctoral students at Jiao Tong University in Shanghai. While in China, I became fascinated with international business, and decided to go into marketing and management. After earning an MBA, I worked for diverse international companies, including 20th Century Fox in Los Angeles. While in LA, I shared my screenwriting with colleagues, and I was encouraged to go into filmmaking. I went on to sell and option screenplays, and eventually started up my own production company, Stumpf Farm Productions (www.stumpffarm.com), while also teaching for colleges on the side. I've instructed diverse and eclectic student demographics between California, New York, and Seattle.
