I was a classroom teacher for 25 years before diving in the library 11 years ago. I love helping people find the perfect book to connect to a lesson or to read for pleasure.
My teaching style is heavily influenced by Montessori-I like for the kids to learn as independently as possible.

I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC and a master's degree in Technology in Education from Walden University.
I served as the Sunshine State Young Reader Award Junior chairperson for two years and I currently write book reviews for the School Library Journal.
