ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Hello! I am currently a Bilingual (English and Spanish) Educational Diagnostician in the state of Texas. I obtained my Bachelors Degree at the University of North Texas. I taught in an elementary school for 4 years as a Dual Language Teacher before obtaining my Masters in Special Education from Midwestern State University. I have been an Educational Diagnostician for over a decade. Since becoming a Diagnostician, I have had the opportunity to train others in different districts on countless topics such as Appropriate Emergent Bilingual Evaluations, Understanding and Appropriately using the Culture-Language Interpretive Matrix (CLIM), Transdisciplinary Play Based Assessment, SPED 101, and ARD/IEP Meeting Spanish Interpretation. I have been a part of many committees to help guide peers including Evaluation Report Review Committees, Specific Learning Disability Committees, and Intellectual Disability Committees. I have also served as a Lead Diagnostician and mentored many diagnosticians over the years. Mentoring and teaching continues to be my passion!
