I am a graduate of Stevenson University receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and a recent graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University where I got my Master's Degree in Leadership in Teaching and Cultural Proficiency. I'm in year 7 of teaching third grade! I absolutely loveeeee taking the time to develop and create relevant, meaningful, and engaging activities for my awesome students -- and I super hope that they will be valuable to you!
I do my best to create and develop a classroom rapport with my students that is both loving and firm. I enjoy developing visually appealing classroom decor and resources which attract my students' interest and attention. I value culturally responsive teaching and dwell on the positive to truly grasp each and every one of my students. I ensure that above all else, that each of my students has full confidence that I believe in them, they are empowered, and that they will succeed -- and we can have fun doing that!

I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland -- now working on the opposite side of the Chesapeake Bay. The Eastern Shore lifestyle has made a major impact on my life, which definitely plays out in my classroom. I do my best to create an environment where students feel cozy and right at home, just like the shore has done for me. I'm a wife + new mama to the sweetest little girl. If you check out my blog I hope you find some helpful ways that I've found to help me survive in the classroom and as a new mom (because to be honest, I'm still figuring out what the heck I'm doing every day!)
