TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 4 years as a 4th grade teacher in a low socioeconomic area in Southern California. I have a passion for diversity and culture! I also have experience with teaching Kinder intervention, being a robotics coach, a GATE lead teacher,and a writing teacher for a non profit program. I taught 3rd grade in the Philippines for a year!

I have a Multiple Subject Credential in Elementary Education, and an in-progress Single Subject Credential in Math. I also have STEM training and professional development in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. I have additional training in Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, and Occupational Therapy in the classroom. I have a GATE certification, and am trained in the Flipped Classroom model.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am only a 5th year veteran, so pretty much a teaching newbie! Well sort of. My mother, aunts and uncles, grandpa and grandma were all teachers. I guess you could say it runs in the family. I literally grew up in a classroom. I LOVE Teacher's Pay Teachers and it is my goal to provide quality work at a reasonable price.
