TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught AP World history for the past fours in multiple public schools in the Dallas area. In addition, I teach AP Seminar and AP Research. I primarily teach the AP Capstone courses now. I have taught AP Seminar for 6 years and AP Research for 5 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Yet to be added

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was awarded the social studies teacher of the year in my school in 2015/16. I was then awarded the campus teacher of the year in my school in 2018/19. My students have earned nationally-recognized passing rates in AP Seminar and AP Research and my AP Capstone program is one of the largest in the nation.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I studied history at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. I subsequently earned my master's degree from the University of Chicago. I consider myself an Early Modern specialist, with a special focus on the Middle East and Mediterranean.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Note: In European history, the term Condottiero refers to mercenary captains contracted by the Italian cities and the Papacy during the Early Modern Period. Like those enterprising sellswords, freelancers, and rogues, I offer my expertise to peers and colleagues—for a price.
