TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I will be entering my seventh year of teaching kindergarten.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to use a wide variety of instructional strategies, such as, small and large group instruction, technology, centers, etc. I also enjoy doing hands-on activities. I feel that children learn best when they are able to manipulate objects. I also like to create my own things - that's why I joined TpT :)

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I made Dean's List every semester while attending college. I also was a part of Kappa Delta Pi and Pi Sigma Pi. I received the Golden Apple Award for outstanding teachers in my county.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am a Westminster College graduate and am a kindergarten teacher in North Carolina. Student teaching and having my own job are two completely different things. Being a kindergarten teacher is a new experience. I love waking up and being able to go teach my students in MY own classroom. I am happy with where I am in life and cannot wait to see what my career has in store for me.
