Spent 6 years as an elementary school teacher, 2 years in middle school, and 2 years teaching high school. My total school curriculum perspective led to my desire to be an Instructional Coach. My position as a literacy coach afforded me the opportunity to work with teachers on implementing school-wide literacy strategies & best instructional practices.
Lessons should be strategically and intentionally planned. High (but realistic) expectations should be set for all students. Differentiation must occur, and students must be give the tools and chances to succeed. All students can succeed - not all in the same way or at the same rate, but all students can & should succeed.
