TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught special education in various settings for the past twenty-one years. I am currently in my fifth year of Instructional Coaching, with a focus on Instructional Technology.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe there is not a singular teaching style. Students need many different instruction types- from direct instruction to centers and group work to open-ended project based learning. I also am a firm believer that I want my students to become life-long learners and productive community members. I incorporate technology in almost all of my lessons.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have an undergraduate degree in Special Education Birth-Age 21 with a concentration in Social Studies. I have a Master's Degree in Literacy Birth-Grade 6. I've attended and presented at multiple professional development seminars and classes specializing in middle school math, special education, and educational technology.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

When I'm not teaching I love to read and bake- I tell my students all the time if I wasn't a teacher I'd open a bakery! I love sharing my teaching supplies with the community- please let me know how they work for you!
