TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught for 3 years in 4th grade ELA, moved up to Junior High and taught 6th and 8th grade for a year, then moved into a full time 8th grade position. I love that middle school age and enjoyed finding new ways to keep them engaged, when it sometimes proved challenging. I currently live in Alabama and teach 8th grade ELA virtually for Texas.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I don't like busy work or time filling work sheets. I like to teach everything within the context of a text and have students work with topics of their interests. I try to give lots of options, grace, and time!
