I have been a middle school educator since 2000. I currently teach at a multi-track year-round public middle school in North Carolina. I earned National Board Certification in 2004 and earned NB Renewal in 2013-14. Named a Class of 2013 Kenan Fellow in NC State’s Kenan Fellows Program for Curriculum and Leadership Development, I was tasked with Creating a Virtual Library of Common Core Concepts for Site-Based Professional Development. DPI will use these materials in training educators throughout the state. They can be viewed here: http://center.ncsu.edu/common/downloads/Kenan/home.php
I believe learning should be hands-on and interactive. I enjoy utilizing technology on a regular basis in my classroom, and discuss many (free) tech tools on my blog: teachingspeaksvolumes.com
