I won the 2023 Riverside County Teacher of the Year award. I won the 2020 VIDA bilingual teacher of the year award. I won the 2021 Riverside countywide BEST Teacher of the Year award. I was recognized by the Inland Empire Council for Social Studies as a 2018 Educator of Excellence.

I went to CSUSB for my bachelor's in history and my teaching credential. Then I got my Master's in education from Cal Baptist University.
