TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am on my 6th year as an English Language Arts teacher at a suburban high school. I have experience teaching mostly sophomore inclusion classes - sometimes ELL, sometimes special education. I have taught ELL, state test prep, and Honors classes, as well.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am trying to become a teacher/facilitator that provides hands-on, high-interest activity (#InnovatorsMindset), but I am new on that journey! My classroom involves a lot of movement and flexible seating, and I never lecture. I prefer activities that allow me to interact with individual students while the whole class works. I incorporate differentiation as often as possible.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from an urban, state university in 2010, spent a few years as a substitute teacher, and then was hired by my current district.
