Teaching Dual Language

I have been teaching for 10 years in either 1st and 2nd grade multigrade classroom, 1st grade or 2nd grade. My years in the classroom have been teaching within the Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE) or Dual Language programs. I have also taught in an urban setting (Chicago) or in the suburbs. I have also been the Instructional Technology Building Coach for the last 3 years. Prior to teaching, I worked in various capacities in corporate America.

I am a true believer in that anything is possible, anything can be achieved. Regardless of the environment or socio-economic standing. Hard work, positive attitude and a growth mindset go a long way. I hope I demonstrate this to my students by providing them with hands-on lessons that are intended to ignite their curiosity, engage them in conversations, and deepen their understanding so they are able to effectively apply their new knowledge in other settings.
