TEACHING EXPERIENCE

As a teacher for over twenty years, I have taught 7th-12th grades, as well freshman and sophomore level college classes. I have prepared homeschooling lessons, and I have taught AP classes as well. I currently teach high school and Dual Enrollment English classes.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe students live up or down to our expectations, so I always keep my expectations high! I believe that all students want to be challenged, and I also believe that we have to keep them engaged. Lessons are so much more effective when we reach them where they are and when we incorporate methods which appeal to all learning styles and interests. I especially enjoy incorporating music, the arts, and technology into my classroom. I'm a lifelong learner, and I enjoy sharing what has worked for me and my students.
