I have been teaching high school Spanish since 2009 (levels 1-3 and different levels of Spanish for Spanish speakers). Before that, I taught English to international students that wanted to take university courses and also first year Spanish to college undergraduates. I have also taught a few middle school Spanish classes over the years.
Regular Spanish classes: I am new to the TPRS/CI world and am excited to see how it will revolutionize my teaching. Up until this point, I was required to teach out of Descubre but I was dying to find ways to make it more like the TPRS/CI world. So, if you are required to teach Descubre but are looking for stories, embedded readings, and ways to teach contextualized grammar (because you are required to teach grammar), my site is for you! In addition, my school is an MYP school, so you'll find lots of MYP Language Acquisition assessments. Heritage speakers: I have had the enormous privilege of helping start and build a full heritage speakers program at my school. On my site you'll find all kinds of materials to support these classes, including survival guides, lesson plans, calendars, bundles, and entire course curriculums - I know they're hard to find! In addition, to meet the MYP requirements, you'll find a few MYP Language and Literature assessments for these kiddos.

Teaching Spanish Literacy classes (Spanish for Spanish speakers classes) and having the freedom to design my own curriculum has forced me to become stronger in the area of Language Arts. A lot of the materials for these heritage or native speakers classes focus on important literacy skills.
