I've been a special education teacher of grades 7-12 for the past 13 years. I teach reading, English, math, and life skills/transition.
I like to make sure students see the value in what we're learning and always provide a ton of real-world examples. Differentiation is key! I try to meet students where they are and celebrate growth! I love using technology to keep students engaged!
Google Certified Educator Level 1 & Level 2.
I actually work at the same high school where I attended. It's cool that some of my favorite teachers are now my colleagues. I am a proud graduate of Temple University where I was on the co-ed cheerleading team. I received my Master's in Education from Gratz College.
I am a proud mom of an amazing 2 year old little boy, named Trevor. Trevor was born at 24 weeks gestation: 4 months premature! He has a tracheostomy to help him breathe, but he doesn't let that hold him back. He is my hero and has overcome so much! He is the happiest little boy I know.
