Talkin' Town English

I have been teaching ESL for 10+ years in a classroom setting and online for 4+ years.

I teach ESL to young adult foreign students from all over the world. My very favorite thing to teach is the second conditional. There are just so many possibilities! My lessons are largely task-based and communicative. My students learn best by completing meaningful activities. My products have been designed to boost confidence and fluency in English learners. My Grammar Guru is Betty Azar. I currently teach ESL using the English File and Headway series. Many of my lessons are inspired by units from these course books for Beginner-Advanced levels.

I have received an award for Most Creative Teacher, 2014, and have been recognized repeatedly throughout my career for my innovation in the classroom and above average student satisfaction reports.

I graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. degree in Applied Linguistics and TESL certification. I have a minor in Anthropology and a second minor in Illustration/Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC.

I am the owner and operator of Talkin' Town English, where I create content and offer private and group distance language coaching, classes, and resources.
