TEACHING EXPERIENCE

The T.W.I.T.S. (Teachers With Ideas To Share) is an intermediate team, made up of Marc Brown and Paty Holt. We have a combined 18 years of experience working with 90%+ free and reduced lunch students, as well as private school students, ages 5-13. Paty is a native Spanish speaker allowing us an extra dimension in our lessons. We have a passion for out-of-the-box thinking which shines through in our classes and students. We are avid users of project-based learning and ensuring our units and lessons are integrated with multiple disciplines. We are strong advocates for the use of technology, higher-level thinking, and problem solving for students. We love getting inspiration from sites like Edutopia.org and through TED talks. All lessons can be translated into Spanish!

Marc has a Bachelors degree in History & Geography and a Masters degree in Elementary Education and is endorsed k-12 in Social Studies. He has a second endorsement in teaching gifted and talented, as well. Paty has a Bachelors degree in Art History / Spanish and a Masters in English Language Acquisition. She is currently working on her PhD.
