TEACHING EXPERIENCE

In my past decade in education, I have served as an AP and IB Social Studies teacher and Spanish teacher in private, public, and magnet schools in the US and abroad. Additionally, I have worked as an educational consultant for the International Baccalaureate, the Asia Society, the Ross Institute, and World Savvy. Through my curriculum development for my students and other institutions, I creatively implement interdisciplinary and globally relevant content for secondary students. I strive to make learning engaging and relevant with a lifelong impact.

As a teacher within a student-centered classroom, I embrace project-based learning and learning driven by student inquiry. I implement activities, discussions, and projects that build critical and creative thinking, and ultimately global empathy and competence. My students describe my classroom teaching as engaging, creative, relevant, and inspiring.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended college at Trinity University where I ran Cross Country and Track and majored in International Economics and Spanish. After undergrad, I received my Masters in Teaching from Trinity's Education Department. Most recently, I completed a Globalizing the Classroom Fellowship with Harvard University's Project Zero and Eurasian Departments.
