TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching elementary at Title 1 schools for 9 years. Most of my experience has been in 4th grade. Before elementary, I taught PreK for 5 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am all about hands-on, conceptual development. I relate my lessons to the real world. I love to do project-based group work when possible.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am the 2020 winner of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching (PAEMST) for the state of Alaska. I also hold two master's degrees: one in Math K-6 and the other in English Language Learners PK-12. Additionally, I have a bachelor's in Elementary Education.
