TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 11th year teaching AP Statistics. I also teach Probability and Statistics, Algebra 2, and Trigonometry. Overall, this is my 20th year teaching mathematics. I am the Mathematics Department Chair at my school. I teach in Florida which has open AP enrollment and pays for each student to take the AP Statistics test. I have a pass rate of 70% compared to the national pass rate which is usually in the 50s.I am also an AP Reader for the AP Statistics test.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach a hybrid of the flipped classroom model. Students will take some notes at home and some in class. All homework is done in class.I review past concepts one day a week. I call them Wind Back Wednesdays.
